As a young kid, I've always been into music. Recording tapes from the radio, buying cd's... music was always on my mind. When I was sixteen, I felt like taking it to the next step, so I bought myself some old dj equipment. After a few months, I decided to participate in a dj contest, in a local club called Ciné Café. I didn't win, but since then I started to play there once in a while. In march 2008, I was selected to play at the dj contest of the famous club Illusion, to celebrate the second year of their concept 'The Hype'. Having really strong opponents, I didn't manage to win a price there, but I'll never forget that night. A few months later, I was selected out of 679 candidates to participate in the biggest dj competition of Belgium: the Belgian DJ Contest. This was a really crazy contest, it was as if I was in a knockout competition on TV. From the 24 selected dj's, I made it to the final 8. The set I played in the final was a big success: everybody was partying and the jury also looked convinced. Despite that, the prices went to the dj's that brought along the biggest amount of people. In time, my style has changed from calm house and progressive house beats to more solid electro and tech house music. My mixes are a mish mash of recognizable tunes and unknown pounding electro, which will definitely get you dancing!

Dj Yorick was one of the resident deejays of the 'jumping place to be' The-Site in Belgium. Thousands of party people came to this club to enjoy the new sound (at the time): jump. Yorick also producing and releasing music (different styles). Yorick also perform as Dj Funkyz. This is his house/club/disco alter ego.

Yves Deruyter

From 1985 Yves Deruyter started with DJing, he started to produce from 1991. He has played in lots of big clubs like Cherrymoon and Barocci.As a producer he released on the Bonzai label. His first track called Animals was a direct hit on every dancefloor at that time.Yves plays on big raves like the Loveparade, Mayday, Energy, Nature One, Trance Energy, Mystery land, Sensation Black, Dance Valley etc.
