Dj W.i.M, also known as Wim Broer, born on the 19th of July in 1972 and living in Gouda, the Netherlands. Filling his time every workday at the office in THE toyshop of Holland: 'Intertoys'. On this page you will find his story of Dj-ing and all what's related with DJ's and house music. W.i.M's Dj-career starts with the day that Lead asked W.i.M to come over to see his first turntables he bought. He showed what to do with a turntable with pitch control and house music. After seeing his demonstration that day was enough for W.i.M to buy him some turntables of his own. Starting his career as Dj in the early days of the house music as he saved some money and then bought him his first turntables: 'Soundlabs' and a basic mixer of 'Inkel' with no mid-gain and a few house records.While learning the first skills of mixing on these belt-driven turntables W.i.M was after six weeks able to compete in his first Dj contest in a local disco named 'Rebel'. W.i.M did not won the contest (only six weeks of practice), but had a lot of fun competing. A new great hobby was born !!Dj W.i.M's style these days was mostly mellow and the records were mostly taken from Outland Records in Amsterdam and Cyber records in Leiden. These days you didn't have much of a choice like hardhouse, club/clubtrance and hardcore didn't even existed yet in it's present form. In the beginning W.i.M was frequently visiting Dj-contests because his motto was: 'it is not for winning the contest, but for playing in front of the audience!!'. It gave W.i.M a rush playing a good set for an hour.
