Everybody that is playing with vinyl on a regular base on a dance event will recognize this problem. You know that you can suspect a problem when : People are dancing, a venue has wooden floors or stages, rumble and hum, low-frequencies feedback and big sized (and powered) monitor speakers will give you these and more of those nasty surprises when you have to play. People come to weird solutions when this problem occurs.

The only professional solution is the EarthQuake®. You can now get rid of all unwanted rumble and hum caused by low frequencies. Say Goodbye to needle skipping by dancing people : the Earthquake®. It is the solution DJs all over the world have been waiting for.

The Dutch invention Earthquake® is the ultimate turntable-tool to use.

How does it work?

The Earthquake® is a rugged steel construction that tries to minimize contact between the turntable and it's underground. And it also intercepts any hits and bounces caused by a jumping audience or very loud basses. Therefor the Earthquake® lets you have control again and frees you of that nasty rumble and feedback. The inventions is based in the Rubber Suspenders that are used to isolate the frame from the plate with your turntable. The design and material these suspenders are made from make sure that they keep low-frequency feedback and shocks from dancing people away from your turntable.

What is it?

The Earthquake® is a steel base plate with A concrete contra weight ( based upon SL1200 series), this is where the turntable is to be placed, during the design process all was done with a Technics SL-1200 series turntable, but the Earthquake should work well with all brands and types of turntables. The base plate is hung in a steel Base frame with four specially designed rubber suspenders. The turntable is now free from its underground. The Earthquake® is placed on four small plastic feet to minimize contact transference from the main booth and the Earthquack®.

Are there other Options?

There is a similar dutch invention called the Freefloat that can also bring some solutions. I see the Freefloat's as an emergency while the Earthquake is a more installation product that can be used in Clubs, Disco's and other venues with a solid installed DJ Booth. Purchase info can be found on : www.rsl.nl.
