Traktor is DJ software developed by Native Instruments. It is also used as a sub-brand for Native Instruments' associated DJ hardware products.

Over the years there have been a lot of versions and variations of this software, this is the overview of all versions of Traktor

Releases

2000 : Traktor first release as Traktor DJ and Traktor Studio (studio has more functions)
2002 : Traktor Studio 2. New features: Scratch Macros, Expanding Loops, MIDI, Cue Point functionality
2003 : Traktor Studio 2.5 introduced GUI Customizations, Time Stretching and Open Sound Control (OSC)
2004 : Traktor Studio 2.6 introduced Vinyl Emulation, Live Input, expanded MIDI functionality
2005 : Traktor Studio 3, adds more playback decks(4), build-in effects, Beatport Online, 4 channel mixer
2006 : Traktor 3, a rebranding of Traktor Studio 3

All version up to now have a PRO version and a DUO version. Duo features only 2 virtual decks (4 in thePro version), a single 3-band EQ for each channel, and six effects.
Traktor Scratch Pro and Traktor Scratch DUO support DVS.
Traktor LE is the introduction version, included with some hardware.

2008 : Traktor Pro, replacing Traktor 3. Updated GUI, reworked all effect interface and updated performing features
2010 : Traktor Pro S4, dedicated version for the Native Instruments S4 controller
2011 : Traktor Pro 2. Adds multi channel support and expanded the Loop functionality
2018 : Traktor Pro 3
2021 : Traktor Pro 3.5 introduced Beatport Link support
