With over 18 years of experience as a DJ/Producer, DJTrance has helped change and evolve trance music from an underground movement, to the massive festival now experienced throughout the world. 'Easily considered as one of America's representatives in the global Trance scene, DJTrance has undoubtedly become a major influence in shaping the sound of Trance, throughout Clubs, and the Internet Worldwide' says Karen Fernandez of Interscope Records.
Whether you like your trance melodic and uplifting, psychedelic or hard and fast, DJ Trance by any definition is here to stay. From the underground warehouse parties of the late 80's to the HNRG Dance Clubs of today, this is one DJ that clearly proves every time he puts a needle on a record, that Trance, whatever the style, has changed, evolved, and become - a lifestyle all on its own.
'I'm just as big a fan of the music as anyone else out there; only for me I tend to live and breathe it. This definitely helps me know the crowds. If it’s not something my friends and I can dance to in the studio, I doubt its going to be something I'd want to play at the clubs', he say's.
With 28 independent albums, and 380 singles including countless Club Dance Remixes and versions, DJ Trance has either remixed or produced club dance tracks from artists including: Nancy Sinatra, Kate Ryan, Fragma, IIO, Milk Inc, Soda Club, Kelly Clarkston, Rank 1, Daft Punk, the Royal Giggalos, Depeche Mode, Cher, Daphne, Whitney Houston, Pink, as well as having re-mastered, co-produced or remixed a variation of songs with other Dj's including: Marco V, Andy Prinz, Paul Van Dyk, CJ Stone, DJ Sammy, Tiesto, Paul Oakenfold, Jason Nevins, George Acosta, Louie Devito and many, many others. From the Classic Rock era DJ Trance remixes include tracks from the Eurythmics, Annie Lennox, Cindy Lauper, Blondie, the Petshop Boys, ELO's original version of Blinded by the Light.
His most recent remixes include a Trance version of Brian Adams, 'Everything I do', and an extended remix version of Boy George's, 'Do you really want to hurt me', as re-mastered by Blue Lagoon.
When asked what is favorite Song is today, he said without a doubt it was Sylver, hands down. “Livin My Life” hold a special meaning to him, and he says he hasn’t been able to get it out of his head yet. He also says he is really excited with her latest release, “Lay your Hands on Me”. His other favorite song right now is “No-One”, by Alicia Keys, and say’s he is hopeful his their reps will have something in place soon for a couple extended trance remixes, that will “totally be amazing!” As one of the first revolutionizing Pro Club DJ/Producers and Artists of Club Dance Music Scene and the growing movement of electronica genre's, DJ Trance a.k.a. Kris Sweeton has once again returned to Los Angeles with a message, and that message is clear – “I’m Livin My Life!”
Today, DJTrance is committed to promoting his recent recordings, and is presently signed to Musik1 with plans to launch a US Tour April 2008
