Pioneer DJ - Controller MIDI Overview

Gearbase product details : Pioneer DJ DDJ-T1

Early 2011 Pioneer enters the Controllers market with two controllers, the Pioneer DDJ-T1 for Traktor is one of them (read this topic about the Pioneer DDJ-S1 controller for Serato Itch). Both controllers are shipped including the software they are designed to intergrate. The DDJT1 intergrates lots of the features and controls in the same way as Native Instrument's Traktor does and is the perfects solution if your using Traktor as mix platform on your computer or laptop.

Supplied with the DDJ-T1 controller is a special version from Native Instruments : Traktor DDJ-T1 edition, this special version unlocks lots of functionality that otherswise would be restricted for the Pro version of Traktor. Some of these features are: 4 Decks controls, 6 effects and Recording.

The Pioneer DDJ-T1 is basically a controller for the software that send it's signals as MIDI to the computer via USB. It has a build in sound card and Master outputs on the back (Stereo, balanced Phono Jack and RCA). It also has Line Input (Stereo RCA) with a Gain Trim on the backside which can be routed in Traktor to one of the channels. There is also a Headphones PFL output up front to connect your headphones to.

Design for Laptop use

As there is a good chance that you will be operating Traktor from a laptop the design of the housing encounts for that. As the main body is well below the surface you can easily slide your laptop underneath the DDJ-T1 to hide the keyboards. The screen is then located right above the mixer controls, or near one of the side, whatever there is space for.

Toen wist niemand hoe veel gelijk je zou hebben @pieterb want het ziet er wel naar uit dat dit in ieder geval voor thuis aan het begin van je cariere een plaatsje heeft verworven
