Hey guys,

Just needing some advice from some experienced non-bias people, which i have been having trouble getting. I am new to the Dj game, have been doing some push button, cd work for about 5 months, and finally have enough to invest in a set up for myself. I have had my mind set on a set of Digital 1200's but am now not so sure after reading some of your reviews. This will be my first set, so i dont have much experience, and i dont know how to really test out the capabilities of each item.
Firstly to start out, would you recommend going digital straight up, or would i benefit more, from learning on vinyl first (Just that i have a huge cd collection and not alot of cash to play with to get a vinyl collection going)
what set up (decks, mixer) would you recommend for both digital and vinyl and why.
I play alot of hip/hop and house, and want to be able to have much more control over the music, as opposed to my current spot.
I also would like to know the capabilities of the denon S5000 in comparison to the 1200, i.e. how user friendly it is, which is easier to learn on

Thanks guys would really appreciate some help

I move this topic to DJ-Gear...

The forum 'equipment reviews' is for reviewing your own gear
