I have gone for a CDX was this a good choice, if i am interested in the mixing of the track for long periods of time, as after i have purchased it (not delivered yet),?

I read on?a forum that the pictch control is not 2 hot for mixing the tune for quite a long period???

In what way is the pioneer better as i might send this deck back if it dont live up 2 it, and can the pioneer play mp3's and MIDI like the CDX can?

No the Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK2 can't play mp3s or MIDI files... but I don't really think that you should consider as a disadvantage...

Using a computer and a "freeware" you can get mp3 files converted at any time into a CD format...
I really do not see any usage to play Midi files on a CD gear...

That said we might have some new decks from Denon and Pio getting out very soon (by the end of the month?!??)...

yeah, this is true, in the next month there will be shipped out a new Pioneer deck, but I don't think you are wating for that one : Pioneer DVJ-X1 DVD deck..... But that's a total other class than the CDJ of CDX. Read more information about the DVJ in this topic....

No that's another one as the DVJ-X1 information is already viewable the Pioneer website...
The one I'm talking about is "unknown"... it might be the mk3...

I received my CDX today and i must say i am very dissapointed so far i have hadrly been  able 2 hold a min together properley for like 1 minute, seriuosly the pitch is awful.

Its just so sensitive and like every few seconds u will have 2 touch the platter 2 either slow it down or speed it up.

I am used 2 mixing for quite long periods of the record and then break on the break however i am finding this nigh on impossible with the CDX (doing my heada in)

Seriously thinking of returning this deck even though there might be a surcharge, 1 question does the Pioneer hold a mix together or does it also try 2 jump out of beat every freakin minute.  I can mix properly i have mixed for about 12 years on technics and i know u might think its cause i just got it but i dont think so when i go straight back 2 my 1210's no problem, however try 2 put a mix in from the CDX it just goes wrong HELP pioneer advice needed as i say can the pioneer stay in beat for long periods with a little adjusting of course or  are all cd Players like this.

Even when  u switch from a from a vinyl to a cdj mix into each other flawlessley?? cd into vinyl?? this things shit man or its gonna take time

True, when synced 2 tracks with 1 CDJ-800 and a 1000MK2 I can start both tracks from the start and it's straight 'till the end  (just tested  Winking my eye.

Even with vinyl I find they very hard to achieve

Have you checked for software update ?? http://www.numark.com/support/softwareupdates/

I haven't been playing with the CDX for that long to recognize what you mean. Perhaps bring it to the store and compare it with there demonstration unit. It might be that it's just the model that you are holding that has a flaw.

Sorry I don't have any info yet... the mk3 is just a rumour... but according to the small talks it is something BIG
Let's wait and see...

CDJ's are more stable than vinyl due to digital technology (pitch is digitally locked to the position of the pitch fader). I've never encountered problems...

have u already used cdj 700,well im sure you will like the different effects that only cdj 700 will give!!!
Lead    posted on 10-08-2004 13:34
huh ?? CDJ-700 = US modelname for the European CDJ-500s I believe... Besides a LOOP there are no effect on the CDJ-500s. The CDJ-100s has 3 effects that are very kewl...

Hi Steve,

I am sure that you have checked this, but there are different pitch percentage settings. Your pitch control can by set to 6%, 12%, 25% and 100%. I have used this deck, and the pitch control is very loose, which could lead me to believe that when set at 100%, or even 25% there could be an issue with remaining stable.

Also, have you tried setting the pitch lock on your turntable, as well as CDX so that they are both locked to 0%, and then seeing if they are off. This could easily show a problem that might be easier to troubleshoot.

Unfortunately, the type of mixing I do limits me to 30 second mixes, however I will try this before I decide to buy one. Thanks for the info on the problem you are having.

I wrote my own personal review about this deck you can check out if you like at //www.djresource.eu/index.php?page=Forum&topic=383&p=2

Maybe some of the problems I found about the deck you can help me with. Thanks..
