You can't really compare these two. The Denon DN-S1000 is a mini, compact cd turntable, while the Pioneer CDJ-200 is just a DJ cd-player. This means you can do more on the DN-S1000, including scratching.
But the CDJ-200 is not mini and compact, meaning that it's nicer to work with if you are of adult size.

i still think the best is the SEARCH button :p in the previous threads with this same question you can read why i think the 200 is better.

PS: where in greece are you from?

I own 2 DNS 1000. They are great machine's, exept that the jog is al little tiny. And when you scratch you must put preasure on the jog. A bit too much for mine opinion.

One thing i really like is the track search button it is so fast.

Emre90  wants to say:
"if you're giving a party with club/house/techno/... you have to chose the cdj-200, but if you want to scratch then take the Denon.

I don't want to say that Denon is that bad, they are both very good cd-players but they have both their own characteristics."

My personal opinion: I've worked already with both of them, but the jog from the Denon isn't that good. And the scratch-function isn't perfect. The Denon has a lot of features, but which one will you use? I prefer the cdj-200.
Laidback    posted on 10-06-2006 22:02
well if you want to scratch..
you should take the Denon. sindce that the CDJ-200 doesnt have Scratch function..
Jorrit    posted on 11-06-2006 11:11
If you wan't to scratch you shouldn't take both of them!
The scratch mode is not very usable, thanks to the crappy jog on the DN-S.

One thing i really like about dn-s1000 is the track search button it is so fast.

On the CDJ you can press FFWD and rotate the jog to increase the search speed  (almost a variable search which also searches backwards)
Let the BASS be louder
DJ_Inspiration    posted on 15-06-2006 20:47
Yep, I even dare to say that a CDJ is even faster in tracksearching than a Denon because of that.
dalux    posted on 05-07-2006 23:12
Why always just Pioneer or Denon? I am starting DJ-ing. I Think that I will be beatmixing most of the time. With maybe some effects (maybe on the mixer). thinking of Vestax (two CDX-05 and the PVC-275 mixer). What do you think. I have a budget of round about 1.000 Euro.

Allright people, let's all buy the denon, because 'bah' used both of them!
Now that's a good argumentation! (yes, I am being sarcastic)

Please use some argument to support your choice (why do you like some features better)

Because Dn-s1000 has scratch system.

And has 2 loops & the maximum pitch is 24 .but the maximum pitch of cdj-200 is 16.

Denon has 3 filters + (Drag-s & Brake & Revers) but cdj-200 dos'nt have any of these.

Dn-s1000 has an Echo loop system.

But the main problem of dn-s1000 it is slow.

A sucky one IMO.

maximum pitch is 24

Actually it's 100% (right?)

Dn-s1000 has an Echo loop system.

True, but Pioneer's philosophy is that you got those echo-like efx in the mixer.
