17 January 2006: Pioneer Europe today unveils its new compact 2ch mixer; the DJM-400. It offers a host of beat effects and an in-loop sampler that offers a new level of flair for creative remixing. Built around the same digital processing technology and high quality components used in Pioneer’s DJM-1000, the new unit is a reliable and robust performer with exceptional audio quality.

Although the smallest mixer in Pioneer’s range, the Pioneer DJM400 packs a wide variety of effects for creative mixing. The effects, that automatically detect the BPM of the music and sync to the beats include: Delay, Echo, Filter, Flanger, Phaser, Robot and Roll, all of which are processed at 24bits for the highest quality sound. In addition, by using the newly-adopted Beat Select Button, the DJM-400 automatically sets the effect time linked to the BPM for more intuitive play and responsive remixing.

The intelligent 96kHz/24bit sampler automatically detects the tempo of a track during playback, sampling it for four beats, then loops the sample. As the sampled audio is in sync with the beat of the track being played (no matter the tempo) the DJ is given more time to be creative. Samples are automatically beat matched and up to five samples can be stored in memory.

Each of the DJM-400’s channels has a 3-band Kill EQ which ranges from +9dB to -∞(infinity) for total control of the sound.

The DJM-400 has been designed with as a perfect partner for the MP3 compatible CDJ-200 both in terms of style and function. When combined, these units create a small, portable yet powerful and robust DJ setup that offers exceptional versatility and performance.

The DJM-400 has a wide range of features. Some of the additional highlights include:
• MIC/AUX switch: to select from either two MIC connections or one stereo LINE connection
• Fader Start: connect a Pioneer CDJ player with a control cable and playback can be started by simply sliding the cross fader or channel fader
• Cross fader curve adjust: adapts to the DJs mixing style
• Talk over: automatically attenuates the volume by -20db so an MC can talk over the track
• Peak Level Meter: Allows you to check the peak level of the input audio for each channel or the master

Haha Yes ik had gelijk, ik gokte al de djm 400

Mooi mixertje!!
Deze prijs ligt al wat beter dan de DJM-800.
Ze hadden de DJM-800 gerust het dubbele van deze mogen laten kosten maar hij kost het 3 dubbele

mooi prijs dit zal et worde in de plaats van de nuo 3 met efx haha zalig

deze ziet er ook heel erg mooi uit. :D

ja zit er nog geen gps in voor als hij gejat wordt? denk dat dat serieus niet heel lang meer duurt voordat er op "luxe" artikkelen gps dingen komen zodat je kan zien waar ze zijn.


mercedes en bmw hebben het al (wel iets duurder dan een mixer maar toch)

jah dat klopt.
vind een led schermpje ook overbodig op een mixer, het is allemaal wel leuk die dingen erbij maar het draait uiteinderlijk om het mizen zelf (mijn mening)

netjes or ziet er lekker simpel uit daar houw ik wel van maar dan is mijn vraag: is deze beter dan de DJM909?

Tja de 800 kan ik niet betalen,.. deze natuurlijk wel. maar 2 kanaals.... k vind het niks. De features zijn leuk, en ik ben zeer blij dat pioneer eindelijk de djm-serie heeft vernieuwd. ( werdt toch echt wel eens tijd) ik moet zeggen dat ik de prijs van dit mengpaneel nog wel redelijk acceptabel vind, maar wat ze met de 800 gedaan hebben  

Ik kan niet wachten om de nieuwe mixers te testen, en hopelijk als het financieel mee zit me zelf toch een djm 800 cadeau te doen!

denk dat k maar n's n bezoekje aan de pio-dealer breng als de DJM 800 uit is....wat een apparaat

NO WAY, lees features door van de DJM-909 en je snapt wat ik bedoel. Kan ook niet anders, als je kijkt naar de prijzen.

Ik vind deze wel schattig

Maar is de djm1000 niet beter

De 1000 en de 400 kun je niet vergelijkenm, evenals de 909 en de 400... deze zijn met hele andere ideeen ontworpen...

DJM-1000 is gewoon een super solide digitale mixer, ontworpen voor club-installaties en de verhuur markt. De 400 is gemaakt om ook een betaalbare kleine mixer te hebben waar toch de nodige features in zitten.

Persoonlijk lijken die Beat Loops mij echt te gek... Gewoon loopje samplen en altijd wordt deze automatisch gesynchroniseerd met de lopende muziek.

Lijkt mij ook super ja, dan kan je tenminste een beetje live beats verbouwe Allen te zonde dat die maar 2 kanaals is.

Ach, er is altijd wel iets wat er net niet op zit.... Ik zou ook liever een 3 kanaals zien, maar ja, alles wat extra is kost ook weer extra

Dat is zo, maar voor mij en nog een boel andere is 4 kanaals gewoon essentieel en dan valt die toch weer af. Maar gelukkig zijn er alternatieven. De nieuwe versie van redsound soundbite kan in princiepe hetzelfde
