Is it possible to change lights of the cdj 1000mk2's start/button to those of the dvj.
Would be cool to change it, since I'm just a sucker for the dvj's blue lights.

no it can't (at least not without a chanche of breaking it (and warranty = gone))...  wanted to do that ass well a time ago

But isnt it just a matter of changing a led?

bleu led needed more energy or something... so u needed to get out a transistor and replace it (anyway lead told me it was not that easy )

try a led that uses less energy? (or am i being stupid)

There is a variaty of LED's available nowadays, but in general you'll always re-calculate the resistor with the specs of the LED with what you're going to replace it.

Pioneer service parts are easily available and this mod was was mentioned in an earlier conversation.

I shall check out the possibilities of this and I'll get back on it. I'm sure it's possible, it just needs to be checked out

Off course it is possible, the only thing you need to do is;

Check how many Volts there is on the LED's
And the capacity it needs!

Then pick a blue led that has the same or allmost the sam specs!

I think they are SMD LED's! To fit them at the right place is a nasty job!

CDJ-1000 is a regular LED, I think the DVJ also, but I'll check this out monday when a service doc is available
